As part of Smiley®'s 2026 We Are All Original campaign, The Artists Series shines a spotlight on the bold, visionary and quietly revolutionary creatives shaping the future. Celebrating emerging changemakers alongside established cultural icons, the series explores the many ways originality and positivity can inspire new perspectives and spark meaningful change.
For pioneering British producer, DJ and visual artist Goldie, creativity has never belonged to a single discipline. Across more than four decades, music and visual art have evolved side by side, each informing the other through a lifelong pursuit of expression, experimentation and originality.
While music became his global calling card, painting has remained a constant: a deeply personal practice through which to process experience, explore identity and continually reinvent his creative voice.
Now, Goldie returns to the canvas to mark a new chapter in his artistic journey. His latest body of work invites audiences to look beyond the surface, using reflection - both literal and metaphorical - to explore ideas of identity, perception and self.
Coinciding with this next chapter, Goldie launches a dedicated online home for his visual practice, bringing together decades of artistic exploration with new works that continue to challenge convention and inspire conversation.
