Smiley continues to champion the spread of happiness and positivity throughout the world and reinforces this work through real life projects that bring smiles to people in need.
Smiley Movement Founder & CEO Nicolas Loufrani
How did we get here? Well, in 2017, philanthropist and social entrepreneur Nicolas Loufrani – Smiley’s CEO – identified a gap in the market between the people looking for opportunities to give back and the millions of charitable causes in need of support.
Echoing SmileyⓇ original’s 1972 good news message of spreading peace, love and optimism, we publish a daily source of uplifting news that is both positive and purposeful, and inspires and drives action.
Smiley Movement runs the Charity Film Awards – the leading cause-related film celebration globally. The awards enable audiences to do good by voting for films and sharing them to reach a wider audience.
INTRODUCTION TO FUTURE POSITIVE SMILEY CAMPAIGN 2023
In keeping with Smiley’s longstanding mission to manifest a better future, in 2023 we will be launching Future Positive – a 360° campaign that will bring together the world’s most forward-thinking brands for a more sustainable message, range of products, and the planet. Together we will be curating a collection of limited-edition sustainable lifestyle products, activated by immersive brand experiences and meaningful charity opportunities.
Harnessing Smiley’s heritage as a force for good news as well as our contemporary support for positive change-makers around the planet, Future Positive will energise our partners across fashion, homeware, and beauty to create, think, and act in a way that both empowers and equips a new generation to manifest the kind of world we all want to live in.
Go Circular with Smiley
Our commitment to sustainability goes more than skin deep. Part of Future Positive will feature in-store activations encouraging people to donate, recycle, and re-purpose garments.
Our vision for a more environmentally friendly world connects the past to the future with a line that is as circular as the Smiley itself.
