Smiley Future Positive Creators Fund®

In the wake of an extraordinarily impactful inaugural year, the Smiley Future Positive Creators Fund® embarks on its second year.

We're thrilled to celebrate the second iteration of the Future Positive Creators Fund, a £500k monetary fund and mentorship support scheme designed to help game-changing designers at global fashion weeks.

The fund was born out of Smiley’s Future Positive sustainability initiative corresponding with our partnership with the United Nations to deliver UN-SDG Goal 12: Responsible Consumption & Production. It has been designed to assist emerging creators in transitioning towards a more ethical, responsible, and circular approach to design, sourcing, and manufacturing.

We've launched our second season of the Future Positive Creators Fund by supporting Saul Nash at London Fashion Week.

SAUL NASH

Raised in North East London, Saul Nash is a designer who established his eponymous brand in 2018. At the core of the brand is Nash’s desire to create technical garments for movement; his body of work oscillates between the world of fashion and dance.

Since the brand's inception, Nash has attracted global interest and amassed attention due to his constant examination of technical menswear outside of societal norms. Essential to the DNA of the label is a persistent study of genderless sportswear and a dedication to redefining traditional athleisure codes. In 2022 the highly revered designer was awarded the prestigious International Woolmark Prize 2022 and the Queen Elizabeth II award for British Design in the same month.

The UK-based designer’s dexterity for revitalising luxury garments rich in functionality and flair is exhibited within his practice and the cohesion of Nash’s designs is rooted in his dedication to Movement.
