SMILEY EXPLORES DOWNTOWN LA WITH CHINATOWN MARKET AND THE HUNDREDS

Chinatown Market and Smiley have become the newest duo of the fashion world, with collaborations popping up left, right and centre.

Chinatown Market, founded by Mike Cherman, is inspired by New York’s Canal Street and the mash-up of culture and commerce in the heart of the Big Apple. The streetwear brand itself, based in Los Angeles has become a cult brand among up-and-coming trendsetters in the US and beyond.

The newest is a co collaboration with the hundreds, the iconic Streetwear brand on every 90’s kids Wishlist. Started by Bobby Kim and Ben Shenassafar, the pair have built up a cult skate following, providing their customers with everything from Hoodies and logo T-shirts to Skate decks and grip tape. Everything you need to be a modern-day skater. Skate culture continues to grow a loyal following, with current movies embracing it as a ‘Lords of Dogtown’ way of life; Making this the collection a ‘must have’ to cop this season.

The sought after collection is comprised of mixed logo T-shirts and hoodies, as well as the iconic Smiley blanket and Smiley ‘Adam Bomb’ Pillow. The Chinatown Market X The Hundreds X Smiley collaboration showcases playful graphical logos keeping the entire line accessible and simple.

The Lookbook was shot in Downtown Los Angeles with the Chinatown Market staff modelling the items in a ‘behind the scenes’ style as a homage to Bobby hundreds Blog from the mid to late 2000s.

The collection is available from The Hundreds Website, at The Hundreds Los Angeles store and Chinatown Market, as well as select retailers worldwide.

The only way is up for this duo. We’re working together on some more great things, so keep your eyes peeled.
